A job that I would like to do.

I've never had a job, but If I have to choose a job I would like to do is veterinarian for exotic animals (besides dogs and cats) because I think it would be really fun to work with animals and learn new things about them, but this job also requires qualities like seriousness and concentration, the skill to look for quick solutions that can help the animals and a lot of strenght to handle them. I think i'd be good at this job because I really want to learn more about all the type of animals, its something that get my attention and I would like to be part of the people who can help them, I could learn things like their habits, how they're treated in farms, sanctuaries or zoos, how to work with them, etc. A person who does this job is my cousin, she's a veterinarian that has worked with domestic and exotic animals (such as tigers or monkeys), she always tells me about experiences of her job and how animals are and even if it's not always the perfect job because she ge

A book that I recommend.

Hello! Today I'm going to talk about a book that I really liked and that I recommend. The book is called "Cadáver exquisito" by Agustina Bazterrica an Argentinian writer, I read it not so long ago, a few months ago actually. I found out about this book from recommendations on instagram videos where people recommend bizarre books, this one is well known in that community. It's about a world where animals can no longer be eaten because they have a virus that kills people when they consume meat or animal products, so they kill all the animals and try to continue, but in the desperation, people start eating each other and to solve this the government legally inaugurates human farms, breeding, raising and killing these genetically altered people to sell the meat. I really liked the book, not only for the obvious reflection on the horrible procedures that animals suffer in slaughterhouses but applied to humans, I also liked the main character's reflection on the world a

My cultural Radar (Part 2)

After reading the Guardian snapshot in part 1, I ' m going to name 6 things that are on my cultural radar at the moment: 1. Movies: For a while I've been very interested in extreme horror movies. I think over the years I've been getting more into this world of movies that aren't as well known. Although there are psychological films that I really like, I'm more into body horror films and the special effects involved in these. Lately I'm really interested in Mikel Balerdi's independent films, I find it impressive how he acts, makes the special effects and shoots his films with few other people. 2. Musical artist: At the moment I think my favorite and the one I listen to the most is Rob Zombie, I really like his style inspired by classic horror movies and all the halloween vibe he gives in his songs and shows. I'm really looking for more musical artists that give this vibe (like Alice Cooper, Powerman 5000, etc.). 3. Magazine: Right now I'm reading f

My Cultural Radar (Part 1)

The cultural snapshot I read in The Guardian: "My Radar" in the culture section was about the cultural highlights of Lennie James, according to the snapshot he's a British actor born in 1965 in Nottingham, who's now living with his family in Los Angeles. He talked about 6 cultural highlights for him: Music: He named the Peterson Brother's and how unique their music is even if they're so young. TV: He said he likes to watch British shows, especially when he misses his family in London, like Detectorists, a show that makes him feel at home. Film: He talked about the movie Uncut Games, a story about a New York jeweler, played by Adam Sandler, he reflected on the movie and described it as a very tense film. Art: He talked about how great an artist Zak Ovés is. His works in found material, mixed media, sculpture and photography and the themes he works on African Diaspora and Caribbean legends. The radio: He talked about Desert Island Discs and one of the recent
